    > James recorded the attack on Mr Ford using the social media platform Snapchat

WTF? They nearly killed someone for “likes”

  2. Anyone know a logical reason they were only charged with conspiring to inflict harm? Since they put the victim in hospital I’d say they carried out the act, on top of one fleeing the country and not receiving any extra time.

  3. Took more than four years to get this sentence, one of those found guilty is thought to be hiding in Dubai, another two men (Jordan McCarthy, 22, and Daniel Whereatt, 51) who were waiting in a second car nearby to pick them up and get them away from the scene were acquitted.

If out after 40% of sentence, the only one in jail will be out in less than 3.5 years.

Feels like this lot have got off extremely lightly, absolute psychopaths.

What utter scum. Though at least as a case it does prove that, contrary to popular belief, they will go after you for non-driving offences when the evidence lends itself

I have it in my mind that the UAE and middle Eastern countries are really strict with regard to crime and punishment. Is that just a stereotype I have?

I can’t imagine it would be hard to find and extradite that bastard home.

I cannot believe the bbc shared that phone footage of them running over the cyclist. I’m just stunned.

Someone try and make the case these bastards can be “rehabbed back into society”. Fuckin lost causes the pair of them.

  6. >Mr Tjitendero, 25, was hit by a blue Honda Accord on the afternoon of 22 July 2020, near Southmead Hospital in Bristol, shortly after finishing a shift there.

I know there’s a backlog in the courts, but 4 years to deliver justice and in that time they’ve been allowed to just continue their lives?

    >Adams had failed to appear in court throughout the trial, with police confirming they believe he is in Dubai and are working to have him returned to the UK as soon as possible.

At the very least their passports should’ve been suspended.

Funny they got prison for not killing someone and a 96 year old woman got off for actually killing someone

  8. Not surprised to read that one of them is from Lawrence Weston. It’s one of the few parts of Bristol I don’t feel safe walking through.

I used to work in Avonmouth a few years back and once commuted to work by bus, which meant walking through Lawrence Weston. The highlight of my commute was having stones and bricks thrown at me by two kids who were probably no older than 10.

  9. 33 comments in 4 hours.

I’m sure the outrage at Phillip Adams and Patrick James is on its way. Any minute now, I’m certain…

Edit: now we’re at 35 comments in 6 hours, and both of those comments were me (along with this one to make it a whopping 36).

    Any second now guys…

Edit: shit, we’re at 8 hours now and we’ve actually dropped to 35 comments.

I’m not sure the r/unitedkingdom cavalry’s coming after all. Actually maybe they’re all busy in another post talking about a criminal called Mohammed or something. Yes that must be it. As soon as they’re done with that they’ll be over here I’m sure…

  10. So, how did that inbred douche canoe afford to go hide in Dubai?

Also they recorded it and posted it to Snapchat for clout. We have a bit of a prison over rowing problem, so perhaps we should send both of them to Dubai, hand em a bottle of water each and send them into the desert.

I give em an hour, max.
