      Trump doesn’t pay anyone if he can help it. He’s fought thousands of lawsuits from contractors, vendors and lawyers he stiffed.

      Says he hates to pay overtime, wouldn’t do it, he would instead call in other workers. (Probably minimum wage temps). But then he says it’s okay because he’ll eliminate tax on overtime, and the crowd cheers. Bunch of idiots, sure no tax on overtime, but he won’t pay overtime anyway. What a bunch of sheep going to slaughter so blissfully. No reasoning ability.

      He stiffs everyone. Many small towns refuse to have him back because he didn’t pay for the venues. Spokane is one of them.

      So Trump is basically saying he is going to promote no taxes on OT for employees, while telling employers that the way to avoid overtime is to bring in some other people at straight time.

      The guy is a creep and let it slip. He also has no idea how most work places operate. Most places that pay OT cannot find more people to put on at straight time and wouldn’t want to pick up the tab for extra training and benefits anyway. If people are being pressured to put in extra time for straight pay, it’s not legal.

      I don’t understand what’s wrong with hiring more people so your workers aren’t overworked and don’t need to do overtime.

      I once worked at a place where we did 60 hours a week at a minimum, and this went on for 2 years before management cut hours back to merely 50 per week. It was brutal. But if you tried to work less than the norm you would never make your goals.

      He sees stiffing people as victories. He outsmarted them, he came out ahead, he won. Anything else is unimaginably stupid to him. Why spend money when he can get things for nothing? And if they don’t like it, so what? They had it coming for not being cunning enough, and expecting someone else to look out for them. This is how he thinks.
