  1. sober_disposition on

He dared to take winter fuel payments away from pensioners who don’t need it and all of a sudden there’s a relentless smear campaign. Weird!

Get ready for headlines about “growing pressure” etc etc.

  2. I don’t want someone with a golden tongue who can lie to everyone to make them feel good, the country needs some reform (not them) right now and it’s pretty much impossible for a leader to be liked in a situation like that. That being said they certainly could work a bit harder to bring out the optimism in people, though I guess that can be hard to near impossible when media outlets just want to rage-bait, perhaps the best bet is just to tough out the criticism and do what you have to do amongst the insults rather than trying to appease people each step of the way.

  3. Who cares? Do people really think Labour are going to call a general election or leadership contest, three months after they took office?

  4. Getting smashed by the Tory loving press but his handling of the first few weeks in power have been abysmal.

It’s as if he relishes taking so called “hard decisions” instead of securing some popular wins first to establish himself.
