It seems like NSW have lovely cabins / chalets / cottages for example https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/camping-and-accommodation/accommodation/hilltop-cottage but Qld only seems to do campsites. Is there a reason for this?

Less environmental impact I’d imagine
Queensland government hasn’t completely sold itself out to private interests.
Because all the NSW accommodation that you can book is old parks staff accommodation.Â
In Queensland, parks employees do most maintenance, so still need somewhere to stay.
NSW contacts most work out, and pays for motels for parks staff if they need to stay on-site for longer periods if it’s too far away from their base.
Because national parks aren’t just nature playgrounds for humans. They’re also to preserve the environment and be a safe spot for animals/plants.
National Parks in QLD are primarily for animals and preserving their habitat, not people and profit.
