Snyder is a good cheerleader but horrible historian. There have been many instances in history where two sides fought only on the land fought over to prevent a wider conflict.
Since America is keeping Ukraine alive their stake is huge and they will use that to further their interests.

I see both sides. I am for Urkraine taking some of the hurt and damage to the aggressor but I understand that the US is trying to avoid WW III as well. Unfortunately you can’t successfully mollify thugs at some point the West will have to deal with Iran and Russia as the longer we allow these aggressions the bigger the cost when our hand is forced. Did we learn nothing from pacifying Hitler?
