Meta unveils generative AI that can hold 'natural' conversations US tech giant Meta Platforms has unveiled the latest version of its avatar-driven generative artificial intelligence. The company demonstrated the AI’s ability to hold conversations.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg introduced the Llama 3.2 AI on Wednesday during a 2-day developers’ event at the company’s headquarters in California.

The avatar appeared in a demonstration on screen and answered questions from Zuckerberg.

Meta plans to incorporate the technology into its Facebook and Instagram social-networking sites.

Meta also introduced a prototype of its Orion augmented reality glasses. The device, which will come with AI capabilities, can display social-media messages and allow users to hold video chats.
