I don’t remember a president in recent decades who had such a negative publicity without being associated with a massive scandal.

  2. As an American/Canadian with managerial government experience, I cringe at 90% of the government operations of Cyprus. It’s clear to me that Christodoulides is a “PR President” – he is all about looking smart, looking organized, and looking like he is working. But in reality, his administration are making the same mistakes as dysfunctional governments in the developing world, and “trying new things” that the US & Canada already tried, which didn’t work. It’s painful to watch.

And the worst part is that there have been NGO/non-profit projects from both the US and EU that have offered immense assistance to Cyprus, and yet, the president’s administration says no. Why? I don’t know, probably because he wants all the credit to himself, even though he is failing to change anything.

  3. What a surprise. The man who got elected on the premise of doing nothing, does nothing (and even does it badly).

What a surprise. The man who has been in so many corruption scandals as a part of the government is also involved in corruption scandals.

I’ve never seen someone do so little while in charge and still do it in a way it alienates everyone bar his strong supporters (who are now in a very comfy government position I might add). The weird thing is that he hasn’t exactly done anything wrong, he just does not do anything worth of note and anything worth of note he might have done is overshadowed by corruption allegations.

  4. This guy has literally done nothing.

Like he speaks and no words come out of his mouth, I cannot note a single thing that he has done that’s either positive or negative, just absolutely nothing. She is all about looking smart and looking like he is doing a job, in reality he’s done absolutely nothing.

Like the biggest thing that comes to mind when I think about him is how he was so lazy and so careless about his job that instead of signing the pipeline deal with Greece and Israel he was on a party in my island of Crete instead

  5. The main reason this clown got elected is because he looked like a 50-year-old baby. Even this he ruined with the pitiful beard.

He was also boosted by the fact that the other candidates were Averof (who is extremely detested even by voters of his own party) and a candidate from Akel (which is the most detested political party in Cyprus).

Also he was groomed to be President by Anastasiades by appointing him as a foreign minister which is a position that does basically nothing (as all external relations of Cyprus are completely centered around the Cypriot issue which is 100% handled by the president). He somehow managed to completely fail as foreign minister, too, with various ludicrous predictions that he made that all failed miserably. He also got bitchslapped by Cavusoglu in the corridors of the UN.
