I understand why Trump won in 2016. He was an outsider running against the prototypical establishment candidate at a time when antiestablishment feeling were at their peak.
But too many people entangled their personality with supporting Trump. Turning on trump would mean admitting to a core personal flaw. That is very hard for people to do. There will be a lot of people who ride the Trump train off the cliff rather than admit they were wrong.

Accidentally had a conversation with a Trump supporter. Everything he mentioned was about the Biden crime family, Hunter’s laptop, and how because Trump is a billionaire he must be seeking the presidency out of love for his country. I almost threw up. Mentioning the $1.7B he cost the taxpayers by housing the Secret Service at his properties at inflated prices simply could not convince him that Trump is all about himself. It is a lost cause. His supporters are too far down the rabbit hole. Vote blue or commit suicide because you won’t want another four+ years of this.

My experience with fellow gen xers, who support trump, is really simple. They have one or several traits. They are narcissistic. They regularly frequent the bar with their regular crew. They were popular in high school and want to tell you all about it. While waiting for your to go wing order. They have a divorce or divorces and it was never their fault. They are quick to anger and say people need an ass whooping, while standing there doing nothing, clutching their pearls. You smell the toxic masculinity oozing out of them, including the women.
