I know for sure people are NOT buying Tesla’s because of this twat, so that’s a good thing.

I’d also be surprised if Twitter is around in a year.

He’s like a Trump with money.

I would buy a Tesla right now – but because of him – forget it. I’ll keep driving my old Leaf.

  3. I’m seriously worried that both him and Trump are still so popular. Like, I’d understand a somewhat regular minority, but the fact that these fucking fools and traitors are so popular is disheartening.

Musk destroyed Twitter for his right wing friends who refused to use Truth Social. I am not surprised the Dems don’t like him.

  5. I needed some more values:
    >Only 6% of Democrats in the poll, which was conducted Sept. 13-17, said they had positive feelings about Musk, while 79% said they had negative feelings. The numbers were flipped for Republicans, with 62% having positive feelings toward him and 14% negative feelings. Independents were split, 31% to 36%.

  6. Only someone with bad ulterior motives like Elon Musk can make rocket launches not fun to watch anymore. Do you realize how much of a jerk you need to be to make millions of people not want to watch rocket launches.

  7. What’s just so incredible is that he could be one of the most popular people on the planet if he acted differently. Most of everything he’s done with SpaceX and Tesla has been okay-ish to actually good. He just can’t stop mouthing off about the worst possible politics and social stances. If he acted like a grown-up and wasn’t pro-Trump, he’d be immensely popular. Not intentionally screwing over Twitter as well would have been a good move.

  8. I used to idolize this guy, then he fired his PR team and started calling rescuers pedophiles.

  9. In 2018, I went viral online when Elon Musk used my artwork as his profile picture, launching my art career.

At the time, I was deeply inspired by the optimistic world Elon seemed to envision of the future. Ever since he liked my artwork on Instagram (a painting of the Starman and Telsa Roadster he launched into space that year), I went viral and bought into his hype completely.

Around 2019, he started using my art as his Twitter profile picture, sharing my work to 90 million followers. [With the help of reddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/SpaceXLounge/comments/c0neie/artist_behind_elon_musks_twitter_profile_pic/), I got in touch with him, resulting in him signing a canvas print of my art for a charity auction. It was surreal, and I spent years defending or ignoring all the signs that he wasn’t the man I thought he was.

I watched him call that Thai cave rescuer a pedo, dismiss Covid excess death numbers, question vaccine safety, fail to launch promised projects like the hyperloop, promote antisemitic views, destroy twitter’s credibility, disown his transgender daughter, make sexist rape jokes to Taylor Swift, knowingly spread Russian propaganda, and post endless unfounded rumors, conspiracies, or outright dangerous lies about Democrats all in an effort to get in the good graces of the Trump administration.

The art he inspired me to make, was painted back when I thought we shared a vision. Now, like 94% of Democrats, and anyone paying attention to his online behavior, I do not think very highly of Elon Musk and believe he has become a net negative to society.
