Looking forward to this happening!

They should have just released those with a home that they could be tagged and restricted to. Instead they did it on the nature of the offence but clearly messed up here in a terrible way.

Great, so they’ve potentially released an axe murderer or a prolific pedo. Well done.

My understanding is that being released from prison, early or late due to administration errors was relatively common?

How could this thing, which literally everyone said would happen, happen?

Incompetence in a red tie instead of a blue.
Here I thought a Labour government would be a return to adults in government, yet since the end of the summer recess I’ve been consistently disappointed.

I do not believe anything going on at the moment is a mistake.

How many touchers did they let out?

Actually reading the article, it appears that those mistakenly released were released because the offence they committed was wrongly listed which is a) a dumb thing to blame on politicians, it’s clearly an administrative error at a much lower level and b) an especially dumb thing to blame on the current government, given the mistake was almost certainly made before they were in power.

Let’s just bring back the death sentence. If we have this many people in prison, let’s just put them to sleep and move on. The world is over populated. Cheaper than building prisons and better for the environment.
