China’s defense ministry says it has launched an intercontinental ballistic missile that landed in the open waters of the Pacific Ocean on Wednesday.
The ministry says the missile carried a mock warhead for training purposes. It says the launch was based on an annual training program, and that it was in line with international law and not directed at any country.
