  1. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cgk7xdlx8kvo) reduced by 85%. (I’m a bot)

    > A former CIA officer has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for drugging and sexually assaulting dozens of women while on assignment in the US and overseas.

    > The former intelligence service employee was a "Predator" who "Lured unsuspecting women to his government-leased housing", where he drugged, stripped, sexually abused and photographed them, Mr Graves added.

    > As part of his plea agreement, Raymond further admitted to engaging in non-consensual sexual acts with four women and non-consensual sexual contact with six women.

  2. *Raymond was caught when a naked woman screaming for help was seen on the balcony of his Mexico City residence in May 2020. He had been working for the US embassy at the time.*

Let that sink in. If it wasn’t for this one, brave, terrified, woman, he’d probably never have been discovered for the evil lunatic he is.

  3. This story is pure CIA.

There is a series on the podcast’Behind the bastards’ and this story is a mild version of general CIA shenanigans when it was founded

    >Over a 14-year period, Brian Jeffrey Raymond, 48, lured women to his government apartment to abuse them, the US Attorney’s District of Columbia Office said. There were more than 500 images found on Raymond’s devices. The recordings, taken between 2006 and 2020, show him touching and manipulating the victim’s bodies for hours.

So he do that while he was on duty, abusing his status and position and became former only because he was caught by accident and his creepy photos were found. CIA and other intelligence agencies already have unlimited power, more people should read Edward Snowden book “Permanent Record” and learn how government already have to much power and do terrible things to people with impunity.

  5. The CIA is made up of boys whose families sent them to Princeton but wouldn’t let them into the family brokerage business.

    -Lyndon B. Johnson

Doesn’t seem like much has changed.

  6. I’ll choose the bear, thank you.

The dollar amount for 14 years of abuse of dozens of women is a tap on the wrist. ALL of his assets should be seized and distributed to these victims.

  7. Wow that’s crazy. Hard to believe the good old boys at the CIA had a creep walking around! I’m sure there’s no more now. He must have been the only one! 😃

  8. You mean an organization that’s worked for decades to forcefully impose its will on innocent, unwilling people employs people who have no moral qualms about imposing their will on innocent, unwilling people? Say it ain’t so!

If something bad about the CIA goes public or hits the news, imagine the things they’ve done that they’ve been able to cover up.

  10. In canada, the equivalent to the CIA (CSIS) has a big problem with male agents sexually harassing and assualting female agents because they can get away with it due to the secretive and protected nature of their work.

Give assholes an opportunity like this, and they’ll take it.
