Interesting paper but it’s hard to compare metastasis in mouse and humans just because of the sheer amount of time tumors have in humans compared to mice. Human metastatic cells are fucked beyond recognition. Here is a preprint that looked at patient samples and found metastatic cells carry molecular signatures of all sorts of cells that don’t belong in the organ where the tumor originated.
