Well good for all the federal employees. Bad for Trump, and meh for Dems against down ballot Republicans. I think it would have been better if they shut it all down, but this isn’t bad either.

Either way it was a loss for Trump, have it shut down at his bidding and they all look bad and he looks even worse, this way they don’t look as bad but he showed that he doesn’t care about the country at all. Hopefully the independent voters notice and actual Republicans just stay home.
