He’s still a cultist weirdo who shares his spank habits with his son, but. Credit where due. Way to do the bare fucking minimum, Speaker.

The focus-grouping on the shutdown must have been brutal for the GOP.

Ah, they got scared by the Senate advancing a clean, bipartisan spending bill on their own, huh? It was all games and temper tantrums until the Democrats were on the verge of a win.

Johnson is actually a joke, I’ve never seen a speaker have so little control over his own majority.

INFO: If Trump does not win the 2024 presidential election are all those who’ve bowed down to him during this election cycle going to look like ID10Ts?

Arizona tried to bin off almost 10000 voters because of the citizenship issue – they then realised a majority of those were republicans and magically they are now ok to vote.

Good to hear. I was disgusted by the SAVES ACT. It would prevent someone from being able to vote if their last name was different than what was on their birth certificate, total nonsense. Republicans hate women. Well they hate alot of people, it’s to the point it’s easier to name the few accepted by their party.

Let’s see how the vote goes before we break out the champagne and toast the Speaker. He still has a radical group on his right itching to oust him and see how much chaos they can cause. Let alone a former president whose favorite thing is shutting down the government and blaming everyone else for his chicanery.

Causing a government shutdown so close to the election pretty much ensures Republicans lose the House. He’s giving them at least a fighting chance to keep some power.

I don’t think Trump ever thought it would pass, it’s just to use as an excuse after the fact when he loses.

At least he was smart enough to do that. The elections would have been a fucking blowout if the Republicans shut down the government again.

Ignorance question: Can democrats call for a vote to replace a republican speaker of the house? I be curious to see how all the republicans would vote since they left the orange turnips voter/citizen policy out of the bill and some of the maga will see that as a betrayal.

“The three-month spending plan also includes $231 million for the Secret Service, responding to increasing pressure from the agency for more resources after another apparent assassination attempt against Trump last Sunday.”
Why do we have to pay an extra $231,000,000 to protect that fat baboon!! Are we still paying inflated prices for the secret service to stay at his jiz soaked “resort”???

I live in Nevada, and I know the state contributes only 6 electoral votes. I’m struggling so hard to understand the Trump supporters here. I’m not looking to argue, or debate beliefs, that’s silly. Folks voting for Trump are solid on their beliefs. I want to know why. Why? Why do they hear Hero when I hear Liar? I see a man who did almost nothing in his four years, but they see a savior. Why? How did his presidency benefit this country, and what has convinced them that Trump is the way to go? For me it’s not comparing chocolate and vanilla as favorite ice cream flavors, it’s comparing vanilla and cianide. What am I missing? Does a third of the country really believe that orange poison is better than boring vanilla?
