Lads, I (33M from Cork) grew up spending my childhood summers in Donegal, drinking this stuff in the Milford Inn Hotel, running around and getting into trouble, while the adults all got pissed at the bar. It’s genuinely one of the best childhood memories I have cause the craic of running around a big hotel, chasing my cousins while on a sugar high was just mighty!
I saw this was getting launched in Lidl a few months ago and I’ve been excited ever since. I went to two different Lidls in East Cork yesterday and only managed to get 3 bottles between the two shops, but that’ll do! Tastes like Coke, cream soda and 90s childhood holidays. 👌

After hearing about this on reddit a few months ago i picked up the pinapple one in lidl yesterday and it is way too sweet but will try some of the others!
They have a website you can buy online anytime of year. The glass bottles too
Just got the pineapple one, fecking tasty, always thought the football special tasted a bit like a black russian
Tates like the dregs of a captain morgans and coke at the end of a night.
It’s very disappointing, tasted interesting initially but had a weird aftertaste and began to taste bitter halfway down the glass.
I suspect it’s the aspartame and saccharine. I’ve heard they do glass bottles that are original recipe and I would be interested in trying those but I won’t be touching the sugar&sweetener version again
When I saw the thumbnail I thought this was going to be about motor oil.

We had a neighbour who I would pretty much swap all my Barbies for her football special every summer when she came back from Donegal!
