  1. It’s more about the owner or people who raise the dogs than the breed.

I’ve sadly wintessed a couple of dog attacks in my life, and nearly all of them were not committed by dogs that we’re deemed a dangerous race. Neglect and improper care are the culprits.

  2. Some people just shouldn’t raise any dog whatsoever, especially the most aggressive breeds. At least some cantons banned American Terriers and I say it was a good move.

These dogs are already forbidden in some cantons.

Discussions around this topic are usually very toxic. I’m not a dog person but I think these breeds are just made to attack and hurt people or whoever. In the wrong hands these dogs are weapons and in the right hands they may be harmless pets (with the power to kill).

Let’s be honest, a certain populace is very drawn to these kind of dogs. Mastiff, Staffordshire, American Pitbull etc. and it’s the same people who usually don’t shine by very responsible behavior in general. Or to put it the other way round – people who have these dogs will tell you they love their pets but they would never have a poodle.
