  1. This is not news. This is just something that has been going on throughout the war. When It happens you’ll know, no need to fall for clickbait.

Listen, Ukraine has been discussing the procurement of various weapons systems with western European countries ever since Russia took Crimea. These talks have as of yet not amounted to any serious proposals with regards to such procurement because thus far they have dealt with all the adjacent requirements to receiving such aircraft. Or put differently, these talks deal with what would be needed in order to eventually put an RFP for upgrading Ukraine’s air force within the framework of NATO commonality.

These talks are *not* about providing Gripen or Eurofighter airframes to Ukraine as part of a military assistance package or anything like that. Given the amount of effort it has taken to integrate the 16s into the UAaF, I can’t even imagine what would be needed to integrate 4.5gen fighters into the Ukranian AF during PEACETIME, let alone while there’s a shooting war going on.

Gripen is probably the most suitable fighter aircraft for Ukraine, modern, designed to kill russian aircraft and stop their land and sea forces, small and nimble, can land on motorways, easier maintenance than F-16, very quick turn-around time, etc etc. !! Plus Sweden is a willing provider, especially since the US has dragged its feet and does not seem to understand that the only agression and escalation is by Russia!

Saab JAS Gripen would be perfect for the Ukrainians. Probably better than F16. It is a very easy machine to maintain. You can land and take off from motorways. It’s made to defend against Russians in an all out invasion.

  5. This is in my opinion the best jet for Ukraine’s needs, it is modern and has the ability to operate in bases with more difficult conditions or quickly built

The people running logistics for the Ukrainian AF deserve a trophy! So many different systems, so many different airframes, spare parts, repair requirements, etc
