It’s becoming more clear to me that Geopolitical rifts are the undercurrent of Domestic politics. Trump openly argues against the status-quo, while offering no concept of what he would propose, yet we know he embraces the concepts of other nations which are not Democratic. In 2016, American’s couldn’t fathom a President nominee that could lead the nation against what the US government has historically been protecting. In 2020, Americans, by a faint margin, were able to re-elect a President that re-instated a historical precedent. In 2024, Trump is once again in the political octagon hoping that his campaign truly convinces more people than in the past, to push him into the White House where he can once again clear the game board and move the pieces to a different tune.

I don’t think Trump can convince more people than in 2016. Less were convinced in 2020. This time around his branding and marketing are played out one hit wonders.

Would a nation under a Democratic President promote stronger geopolitical ties? Yes. Would a nation under Trump improve domestic politics? I think not.

  2. This is the right step. Armenia is facing a genocidal threat from Azerbaijan, which has decimated Artsakh and occupied parts of Armenia proper.

Hoping such partnerships can push back against tyranny.

    >“Bound by the deep ties between our peoples, Armenia and the United States are working together to create a better future, including by elevating our relationship to a strategic partnership. This will advance our cooperation across the board, from strengthening our security and defense partnership to accelerating our clean energy and trade diversification initiatives. This strategic partnership will also support Armenia’s continued efforts towards democracy through civic action, good governance, rule of law and anti-corruption measures. These are values that both Americans and Armenians share,” Biden said.

    >“The United States supports Armenia’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and right to determine its own future. We support your continued commitment to sustainable peace throughout the region. And we look forward to working with you and continuing to shape a future where everyone can live in dignity, safety,” the US President said.

  4. This is the diplomatic equivalent of the free real estate meme. Russia just abandoned Armenia, preferring instead to focus all of their diplomatic efforts on eradicating Ukrainian civilization. And to do that, Azerbaijani relations are far more important as they use Azerbaijan to smuggle in everything they need to bypass sanctions. Sorry Armenia, literal crime is more important to the Russians than you. It’s insulting. Were I Armenian I would find Russia’s selfish actions utterly disgusting.

  5. Gonna be interesting to hear from my pro-Trump pro-Russia Armenian friend. He was livid about the US not helping Armenia and kept going on about how Russia was the only one willing to defend them.
