  1. What I find impressive, is seeing so many families with 3 or more kids, and not even families that are in the middle class, as far as income is concerned they would be hitting the poverty threshold.
Those kids then tend to also the same amount of kids each or even more, so the trend grows.

The sad reality is that we need the extra workforce, the amount of people reaching their retirement is exploding, which has to be financed by the current workforce, which has to be provided either through migration or swiss born reaching adulthood.

What I would like to see would be a graph that pits all factors together, such as amount of migration vs newborns vs deaths vs pensioners vs emigration vs invalids vs …etc

Also, thread will get locked Any% Speedrun, since this is a topic that tends to go south really quick.

  2. Switzerland benefits greatly from the influx of highly skilled workers through immigration, which helps compensate for its low birth rate and aging population. Around 25% of the population is foreign-born, many contributing to key sectors like finance, pharmaceuticals, and engineering. This migration has been essential in sustaining Switzerland’s economic growth, with over 60% of the working-age population increase in recent years attributed to immigration. Switzerland consistently ranks as a global leader in innovation, and the steady flow of international talent supports its position in highly competitive industries. By attracting younger workers, immigration also helps alleviate the financial pressures of an aging society, making the Swiss economy more resilient.
