Pakistan opposition lawmakers detained after rally Multiple opposition lawmakers in Pakistan have been detained and charged after holding a massive rally.
They were calling for the release of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Police in Islamabad say senior officials and other members of the Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf or PTI face charges, including terrorism offenses.
The party says at least ten lawmakers have been detained.

On Sunday, the PTI organized a gathering on the outskirts of Islamabad attracting thousands of people. Some clashed with police.
Supporters have been demanding the release of Khan. He was found guilty of corruption and other charges.
The PTI says it is planning a large-scale protest against what it calls the government’s unjust military-backed crackdown.
