Found this injured bird last night on my post pub journey. Cant tell if its a wing or leg thats injured but its not mobile.
Anyone able to help id it? I think its a Guillemot.
Would happily take any advice on how to help it or if anyone knows any wildlife resources that would help. (Im based in Cork so the closer the better)

Looks like a Manx Shearwater. Wildlife Rescue Cork will be able to help. Get in touch with them and they will let you know what vets to take it to. I brought injured birds to the vets near Blackpool for them in the past.

Try Kildare wildlife rescue, they have volunteers across the country who answer emails quite regularly.
I hope it’s injured and not sick – sick birds shouldn’t be near you. Get in touch with Wildlife Rescue Cork quick and bring it to the vet they recommend?
Just give the bird to a vet because wildlife costs nothing! Thanks for taking care of him/her.

Wildlife rescue, ASAP. In the meantime do NOT attempt to feed or water it, close the box lid, put it in a dark/quiet area in the house, and preferably put a towel or some kind of blanket in it to keep the bird comfortable. Sooner it’s out of your hands and with a wildlife professional the better
It’s a Manx Shearwater.
They can’t take off from the ground as their legs are set too far back on their body for paddling / diving etc. They need to drop into flight or flap and run across the water to get speed to take off. They sometimes ground themselves due to street lights which they follow too far inland. It’s likely fine and just needs water to take off from.
We had one in Ballydavid last weekend as well and it was dragging itself across the tarmac. It seemed all in one piece and was rather sprightly (as my fingers found out) We just brought it down to the beach and placed it in the water and it was gone by morning.
Bring it to the sea and see how it fares.
