  1. Just send them to Botswana, culling elephants makes no sense, I’m sure Botswana would be happy with some kind of an arrangement. Stupidity.

Tell that to centuries old migration patterns….. unfortunately Africa is a wasteland. Going to get much worse.

  3. >But Chris Brown, a conservationist and CEO of the Namibian Chamber of Environment, said elephants had a “devastating effect on habitat if they are allowed to increase continually, exponentially”.

    >“They really damage ecosystems and habitats, and they have a huge impact on other species which are less iconic and therefore matter less in the eyes of the Eurocentric, urban armchair conservation people,” he said.

It’s amazing that this guy can’t hear the irony in what he’s saying.

  4. They already let the rhinos at Chipangali get horrifically poached years back, now it’s the elephants’ time I guess.

I would reduce human population in Africa be at least half and then every problem will be resolved

  6. There are over 100,000 elephants over there, 200 won’t change anything. People need to stop caring about elephants more than humans.

Maybe NATO could skim $1B off the Ukraine fund and send some food and water. But that’s not profitable enough, I guess.

  8. Thought nature had that covered. Are the fat cats going to cull their fellow politicians and their over priced cars?

Well. The surviving elephants will remember when the humans destroyed their families and that might make elephants attack humans.

    ☹️

I don’t like the use of cull in this context. Elephants are super smart and empathetic. It’s like saying you’re going to cull 200 humans because there’s not enough food to go around.
