>Vodafone and Three hit back at the regulator, saying they disagreed with a number of the CMA’s findings and said a merger would fix the country’s “dysfunctional mobile market” and “unleash more competition and investment”.
Hmm, I’m having trouble believing that.

Would at least mean Vodafone give me decent reception in Brighton? Three seems decent here.

I use Three and sometimes I have no signal in the middle of Cardiff???

I have no idea how Three are still in business, they have been beyond awful for many years now.

It’s difficult imo.
I think it will improve the infrastructure but part of that will also be higher prices and bigger profits.

Of course it will mean higher bills. The merger will costs billions, and the consumer will pay

I don’t need to read anything to know my bill (I’ve been with 3 for over a decade) will go up.
Customer service is dead.
Corporate profit is all that matters.

Wonder if my infinite mobile data glitch with Voxi will come to an end.
I’ve had endless data for £12 a month for about 8 years!

When T-mobile and Orange merged, the resulting company EE turned off all duplicate or overlapping transmitters.
1000’s were left with none to little signal overnight.
Don’t believe their bollocks.

on the plus, inflation everywhere but we get some decent deals / inflation beating prices on sim cards. unlimited calls and texts basically now. I know hardly anyone rings/texts each other but hell its nice.

How about we let them merge but force the infrastructure into public ownership from all the providers.

It’s time the regulators looked at size of mobile companies and not number of, EE is the biggest and is able to swing its weight around and out bid other companies on spectrum. The market is so miss matched. Investing is not something that smaller companies can afford anymore we need a bigger company to challenge EE and be in a position to invest.
