I must admit that I thought AI would have a more negative impact on my job that it had until now. But still, when it progresses and becomes more intelligent, I cant stop thinking that it might really replace me and my skills in the future. Have you heard of stories from coworkers or friends where it completely replaced them?

  2. We are seeing headline of companies replacing workers by AI, I would say we miss the return of experience, as it’s a bit soon. But for sure, AI will improve, and at one point, will destroy some jobs. Some will be replaced by new jobs (you need to maintain the AI), some will disappear.

Is it for today ? not sure, but it will come soon, and maybe faster than we think.

We already have seen that with the industrialization phase. I think we are at a point where we need to rethink society, and work. But that may not come easily, and many may suffer of the situation before we would be willing, as a society, to make the needed changes.

  3. I wish AI could do the jobs and I could just read books and go to the gym. The economy would keep running as it is now, but so many people could have fulfilling lives. Of course it will never happen.

  4. Currently I’m not at all afraid of being replaced, no. But I’m not in the creative industry.

I can see why the creative industry has that fear, given the impressing capabilities that AI shows when it comes to visual creation. But what I have seen of AI so far in my line of work was rather underwhelming.

Funnily enough a couple of weeks ago a customer of ours tried to solve some task by asking AI instead of asking us. Cost him much more in the end because we had to undo the “solution” that the AI proposed 😉

  5. I’m not really open to talk about it, but whilst I’m not concerned myself (yet!), there are definitely roles I would be concerned about.

Not because it’s “new” but certain segments have been under huge pressure to cut costs in recent times and this allows for it.

The question is can the marketplace absorb more job losses? My answer…I’m not sure but I’m not optimistic.
