An announcement of the “Višnjan under Poreč” initiative appeared on Facebook, from which it is clear that someone is fed up with the local self-government of Višnjan and wants to annex the Municipality of Višnjan to Poreč. An intriguing initiative at the end of the pre-election year.

The initiators of the initiative believe that “the independent municipality of Višnjan has lost its meaning in the last 20 years and that it would be better for us, the men and women of Višnjan, if the municipality were to join the City of Poreč. It doesn’t go like this anymore, and only those who act for themselves, not for the Municipality, are elected in the elections. We simply do not have the capacity – those who are the headquarters, do their own work and do not want to deal with this kind of municipality.
