  1. “It” being people going on about Christmas stuff being in the shops?

The complaints seem to start earlier every year.

  2. I actually saw them selling stuff for Christmas 2024 and 2025 in a shop the other day

    Earlier every year

  3. Im curious to see if theres a cut off for this. Its honestly earlier every year.

Its 104 days until Christmas. So this shop will be selling Christmas products for about 30% of this year.

  4. I was in The Range this morning and the staff were simultaneously blowing up a giant ghost or something for the window and putting Christmas decorations onto the shelves. They’re even building the little tunnels they put the lights in already. Wild.

  5. Before Halloween should be a crime – more so considering Ireland’s Celtic background.

Guess it’s time to go in and put a few zombies in the manager just to make sure the spooky season is still observed.

The war on Christmas is over. Christmas has triumphed over all comers. Halloween defeated.

  7. Not sure if it’s part of no longer feeling influenced by the church/religion but for me, year on year, I give less and less of a fuck about Christmas. Might also be just how much it takes over for three months.

It almost feels like Christmas happens too often. Should be every four years, like the Olympics.

  8. No joke, I’m in the US and last week was in a convenience store that had Valentine’s Day candy hearts out already.
