  1. Bloomberg must be using global stats here bc that number is close to the entire population of the US. Regardless, she’s got to have tens of millions of US fans. Nice

    Hold on now.

I think you folks are severely underestimating the 73 fans Hulk Hogan brings to Trump’s side.

  3. Although not all are US voters it also brings along the K-Pop US voters too. They tend to follow each other tightly.

You’re gonna hear a lot of shrieking from the right about how this doesn’t matter because it isn’t going to get someone who was voting for trump to vote for harris – and they are probably correct about this.

What this WILL do is get (some) people who weren’t going to vote, who weren’t engaged, who were going to stay home, etc, out to the polls.

Whether or not it “moves the needle” remains to be seen, but just be on the lookout for conservative spin. Nobody thinks this is going to change minds from trump to harris, but this probably will change peoples minds from “i’m not going to vote” to “I will vote for harris.”

  5. In a closely tied race like this, every single vote matters.

So yes, I am ecstatic that Taylor Swift has given her endorsement no matter what Faux News says

  6. Given her reach and the demographic she most speaks to, this will be impactful, but let’s be somewhat realistic: it’s not 283 million NEW votes. Some percentage of those fans were already going to vote Harris and some percentage of them still will not vote even with the endorsement. And then it’s like how many of those fans live in swing states where it counts the most?

It will matter and, quite frankly, we need every bit of help we can get. But it’s closer to a finger on the scale than a full-on brick. But I will take it, I’ll take anything that tips the odds a little further in our favor at this point. We really, really, really need to win this.

Hard to wrap your head around the fact that this is “supposedly” a tight election when one candidate is a convicted felon/traitor who is always for sale to the highest bidder.

I love when Republicans dismiss her followers as “kids who can’t vote.”

Millennials are in their **30s and 40s** now.

  9. There are only 335 million people in the US.

She’s going to have an impact though. In tight state races it may swing the electoral vote.

Why do I feel like I’m in Helm’s Deep, surrounded by ~~Orcs~~ Republicans, and the ~~Rohirrim~~ Swifties have assembled on the mountainside at dawn?

  11. To be fair, if you were the type of person who would vote for President based on your loyalty to Taylor Swift, you were voting against Trump anyways..

I consider this a self-own by the GOP. They were the ones that pushed the AI of her endorsing Trump when she had no intentions of making an endorsement. The only way to set the record straight was to make the endorsement.

Let’s hope she does some campaign events and her support doesn’t end at the one IG post. She should definitely do an event in FL with Harris.

She moves the dial on football games. The Sunday night Chiefs game last year was the highest rated prime time game ever. That’s just her fans tuning in to see 5 second camera reactions. And if her first album was a person they could vote this year. The idea that 13 year olds don’t matter is out of date. They are adults with the vote and a cultish devotion to this woman. This does move the dial.

  15. Reminder that Taylor’s fans are not all 14-year old girls. Taylor has been in the industry longer than theyve been alive. Shes 34, and the core of her fans are pushing 30. Millenials is her core base, and they feel the childless cat slander hard. Taylor clearly took offense to it herself.

She has been able to retain her fans better than basically any artist, they have aged up with her. Her fans definitely can vote, and will vote. Saying all of them is little girls is just copium.

  16. Even if you exclude fans outside of the US…

Even if you exclude fans who are not of voting age…

Even if you exclude fans who already planned to vote…

Even if you exclude fans who still won’t vote regardless…

You are still left with tens of thousands of voters in each of the major swing states.

And based on the results in 2016 AND 2020, I think the value of those votes is clear.

  17. Is it enough to overcome all the disenfranchisement and corruption?

I hate that the media is talking about this like it’s a fair fight with “razor thin margins.”

The only reason, the ONLY reason this is close… is because of corruption.

  18. This election will be won on the margins. If Swift’s endorsement gets a handful of people off the sidelines in Ohio, North Carolina, Texas, Pennsylvania, etc. and gets them engaged and to the polls for Harris, that could tip the election. It doesn’t have to be a blowout, it just has to be 50%+1 vote.

I don’t listen to her music, but she has always struck me as a pretty badass person!

I was inpatient at an army hospital back in 2010 and she visited my ward. Didn’t get to meet her because I was out that day, but it always struck me as very kind of her to swing by and see us physically mangled guys from the war lol

  20. Republicans have been fearing this event for months. I have to question whether Swift would even have endorsed anyone if Trump hadn’t posted the fake meme on social media. You asked for it dumbass.

  21. I love Taylor Swift, and i love this for Harris/Walz. Honestly, though, I’d be surprised if most of her fan bases weren’t already supporting Harris/Walz.

  22. Even assuming only 1% of her followers is US based and within voting age range, that’s still much bigger than the total of Kid Rock followers, lol.

  23. You’re on TV debating Donald Trump / he’s upset

He’s going on about someone / eating pets

He doesn’t get my endorsement / like you do.
