      lol I got this a few times over the years in spam and junk mail boxes. Delete and block the sender. It’s a well known scam.

      Was it ever established where this tosh originated? The grasp of English isn’t quite secure, the wavering threats not convincing, never mind all the actual misspelled words, the erroneous proper nouns, and whatnot. You could imagine some quite young person in a far-off land thinking that this time, they’ve *really* cracked the old extortion caper.

      Clearly fake, but lots of people do not know and get very worried.

      Speak to your kids about online safety. There have been many sad cases of children committing suicide over these kinds of scams.

      A variation of this used to be very common from hacked email databases back when that was popular. You are told that your webcam traffic has been intercepted and you’ve been caught wank handed watching paedoporn or variations of this. Of course it all rested on having a webcam, which I didn’t.

      Whilst these scams are laughable at times, this one in particular can be so dangerous if the wrong person was to see this and jump to conclusions.

      Everytime I see this scam again I’m genuinely furious. My little sister in law came through to me, absolutely SOBBING crying when she received this. The wave of anxiety over rode her usual common sense and honestly it really fucked her up for a few days. Cunts!

      If you received a link, make sure you click on it and enter your bank details to verify the sender.

      I remember receiving something like this a while back, had the Ministry of Security stamp and all, gave me a good laugh.

      I love that its signed off by Drew Harris himself, as if the Commissioner is sitting up in his office signing off on every warrant issued in the country.
