  1. I especially liked when one of them pointed out that convicted felons are not able to join the Army.

this is the sort of stuff she should be using in the debate. point out that it’s generals who blame trump for the mess of a withdrawal, that the US border patrol endorsed the border bill trump blocked, etc. appeal to authority can be pretty effective on people who are skeptical about her but haven’t made up their minds yet. and if trump wants to respond by badmouthing them, all the better.

  3. Is Fox News really running this story? I just assumed it would get buried. This is absolutely a major endorsement.

  4. Meanwhile Biden and Harris ignored the advice of their generals on the ground who were yelling at them telling them they were executing the withdrawal was gonna end with the cost of Americans lives and weapons.

They both ignored advice and it was extremely negligent.

  5. 2400 Americans died during the Afghan war, 61 under Trump.

13 died during the withdrawal, but their sacrifice saved untold number of lives. Also I’ve never heard an alternate plan for withdrawal from any of the critics of Biden’s withdrawal. Afghanistan was a shitshow from the start, and there was no easy way out. That’s why Trump never had the balls to do it.

  6. Pompeo made a deal with the Taliban. And because there was no transition team due to Trump’s coup attempt, nobody told Biden. Thirteen people died. Peaceful transfers of power matter.

  7. It’s still FOXnews… Can’t… Upvote… Evil!!!

Just because they put up a trap article, not reading it. Fuk em.

  8. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.foxnews.com/politics/retired-generals-defend-harris-blame-trump-afghanistan-withdrawal-report?intcmp=tw_fnc) reduced by 70%. (I’m a bot)

    > A group of retired generals is moving to defend Vice President Kamala Harris from criticism over the Biden-Harris administration's handling of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan this week.

    > The group went on to attack former President Trump for allegedly setting up President Biden and Harris to fail in Afghanistan.

    > HARRIS WILL HAVE TO 'FACE OFF' AGAINST BIDEN, HIS LEGACY IN DEBATE AGAINST TRUMP: NYT COLUMNIST. "He left President Biden and Vice President Harris with no plans to execute a withdrawal, and with little time to do so. This chaotic approach severely hindered the Biden-Harris Administration's ability to execute the most orderly withdrawal possible and put our service members and our allies at risk. Nevertheless, President Biden with the support of Vice President Harris ended America's longest war, oversaw the largest airlift in U.S. history, and brought our troops home," the generals wrote.

  9. > Generals blame Trump on Afghanistan withdrawal

Just because he did a backdoor deal with the Taliban?

    > foxnews.com

    lol

    u weird

Even if it’s true, I don’t believe you.

  10. Look, it’s simple. There is a signed agreement with the Taliban: you get all your people back, we leave and let you wreck the place.

Who signed it? That’s right. It’s not Biden or Kamala.

  11. We had 20 years, we needed to end the forever war the same generals would have had us there another 20 years. America doesn’t need to be involved in forever wars spending our blood and resources

  12. Everyone seems to forget that it was trump who set up the withdrawal and Biden just followed that mandate.

Afghanistan, immigration and inflation will be the GOPs talking points from here to November.

  14. The copium in the comments on that Fox article are the purest copium. Every excuse beyond acceptance imaginable.

  15. Specific_Sea_9960 on

Biden/harris were in office, so they are responsible for the withdrawal debacle, and Abby Gate

“Blame Trump *for* Afghanistan withdrawal” or “Blame Afghanistan withdrawal on Trump.”

I know y’all are barely literate over there at Fox News, but you could at least run these headlines by your gradeschool children or an AI or literally anything but this.

  17. That’s weird, I thought Jesse Watters told us that these generals “would have their way with her”. Surely they wouldn’t defend her if they were planning on doing that. Could he have been………..dare I say it………..lying?

  18. Anyone who thought the withdrawal of Afghanistan was going to be an organized operation, hadn’t been paying attention for the last 20 years.
