I am staying in Tallinn Old Town in late Nov (27th – 1st December). I’m looking to visit the Christmas Market, explore the Old Town, check out museums including the KGB museum, go on food tours / ghost tours! Is this enough time? And will Tallinn Old Town have a festive atmosphere? This is my first time in the Baltics – I’m so excited! Thank you 🙂
EDIT: I usually go for sunny destinations so gloomy doesn’t faze me. But will there be a festive atmosphere / Christmas decorations? https://visitestonia.com/en/tallinn-christmas-market says the Xmas market is open on 22nd. I’m coming on 29th – 1st December.
Is late November a good time to visit?

Late November is the time, when there is no snow, but it is already cold, dark and raining a lot. But it may be good for someone.
Hey, it’s really dark and rainy here in November and possibly no snow. The Christmas Market usually opens in December (on the 1st maybe). I actually think it’s the worst time to come here lol sorry.
If you’re looking for a dark and gloomy experience, then late November is probably going to provide that. Cold, wet and miserable, proper late autumn.
Time for making tea, lighting up the fireplace and looking at everything die through your window.
Climate wise it is worst time ever. Dump, dark, wet. Angry, rude people. Horror movie scenery.
From plus side, bargain prices for accommodation.
If you need some inspiration for suicide song lyrics then our weather nicely provides that.
If you are of gothick (with “ck”) persuasion, then yes.
Climate-wise, it’s pretty miserable time. Wet, dark, probably bone-freezing cold wind.
But Tallinn is a city, it’s not like you’re asking if it’s good idea to camp four days in a forest. And Tallinn is quite tiny, you’re not going to take 2-hour hikes on foot in this weather. It’s not going to rain inside museums and restaurants. So you’ll be perfectly fine.
Personally I think it’s the absolute worst time to visit this country. Because of the weather. You could be lucky if it’s cold (under 0 consistently) and there’s snow but it’s unlikely.
