Also we are so fucking shite with basically zero hope on the horizon, while teams like Georgia and Luxembourg continue to improve because they actually invested in football in those countries. I feel lucky to be old enough to remember the glory days.

Great to see two Irish lads score tonight!

Can we acknowledge Rice handling of the situation

Clown fans.
We should just all get over it

2-0 not a bad result on fairness against one of the top ranked teams in world football. At the end of the day we are basically minnows at this stage.
This nations league will be judged on the other games. Looking at Greece Vs Finland. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we get relegated.

It’s ironic that the Irish were beaten by two snakes

Irish fans who are desperate to have English players playing for us are some jokers

Don’t know why we’re dishing it out when we couldn’t beat the Vatican City if our life’s depended on it.

The moaning about these 2 is pathetic. The same people who loved it when we stole McGeady from Scotland. So small time to be still banging on about this.

I’m kinda pissed Rice didn’t celebrate fully.
Kinda wished he just owned that shit and went all in. None of this non celebration shite.

The moaning some of our fans do about those two is so cringe and embarrassing. They’re both English. They were given an opportunity to play for their own country and they took it. We seriously need to move on.

Pretty sure it’s a joke, no?

Ireland has taken players from other countries (including the UK) before. So I don’t see why people are still so angry about Declan Rice and Jack Grealish playing for England.

Strangely enough, I feel like today is the day we can nip all of this resentment in the bud. I thought Rice not celebrating was respectful, despite the never-happy clowns who say “he should’ve celebrated and owned it”.
As for Grealish, yeah he celebrated, but he just strikes me as a somewhat simple and warm-hearted normal lad who’d be a beloved local brickie had he not won the jackpot by being talented at football, chatting with and making time for kids after the game.
We got ours boos out of the way. Time to put it to rest.

Neither of them are Irish. Both born in England. To parents born in England. Yeah they have our heritage but they’re Englishmen who thought they could further their careers by using the grandfather rule. When will we grow up and stop begging for crumbs off the British table?
