At the invitation of Husein from Borovsk, the team of the Fedja and Emir Foundation set out to visit that area because we saw that there are no recorded necropolises in the archaeological Lexicon of BiH.

The first location of Jasik/Dželep’s cemetery delighted us with 40 stećaks, mostly chests and plaques, but in addition to them large dervish niches of the Ahi order that kept the Khans around Bosnia and were the first to bring coffee to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Nearby are the Illyrian Tumuli with graves that were archaeologically processed by Fiala in 1893. and which speaks of the antiquity and continuity of life of the local population in this area.

In the village of Borovsko we found two more beautiful necropolises with symbols of swords, hands, apples, spirals, etc. The first necropolis of Laza has 20 stećaks and is located near the Muslim cemetery, but it is overgrown with bushes and vegetation, so you can’t see it well.

The second necropolis of Luka has 10 stećaks and is also overgrown with vegetation, so these necropolises should be cleaned and presented to the general public.

We would like to thank our friend Husein who took us to these locations and covered the travel expenses.
