32 million bucks to hurl insults? Imagine if he had formed policies and supported down ballot efforts.
I guess there’s no free cash in that.

  2. Trump has like 300 million to spend in 61 days and it’s apparently not enough?

Our system is so fucking weird

  3. Critical_Aspect on

Meanwhile, VP Harris has raised so much money that she’s given $24.5M to down-ballot Democrats.

  4. Let’s see, 11 million to rent Mar-a-Lago and Bedminster for campaign-related activities, 7 million for *Trump 2024* ads on Truth Social, and 14 million to a Russian shell company for “consulting fees”.

  5. Let’s do everything we can to keep this going. The more money he has to spend on staying out of jail, the less he has to give for down ticket races. If the GOP had nominated virtually anybody else, they’d have plenty of money and a lot fewer problems, but the Trump cancer has metastasized to every part of the GOP.

  6. Time for Bible+. Get all of Trump‘s favorite Bible verses all in one convenient at home package (just as soon as he figures out what those verses are). All for the low low price of 35.99 +tax!

  7. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.salon.com/2024/09/04/drained-cash-reserves-by-32-million-in-august-to-keep-campaign-afloat/) reduced by 59%. (I’m a bot)

    > Donald Trump's presidential campaign had to dig deep into financial reserves to keep the campaign afloat in several key swing states.

    > Per Bloomberg, the Trump campaign spent roughly $32 million more than it raised in August, pushing the camp's cash on hand at the end of the month to $295 million after reeling in $130 million in donations.

    > While the figures exclude money pouring into the race from PACs, many of which are funded by uber-wealthy Trump allies, the figures suggest that Trump's stalling campaign costs more money to keep afloat than it can pull in, as donations slip slightly from July's nearly $139 million sum.

  8. If he’s spending his own money, he’ll be stingy and micromanage every decision…good news.

  9. No idea where they’re spending all this money because he’s barely even campaigning. He spends most days playing golf (something he wouldn’t shut up about with Obama) and posting racist tweets online.

First Trump spent tons of money campaigning against Biden, now he has to retool and spend tons more against Harris. So unfair!

But here’s the worst part: when Biden swoops in and takes back the nomination, Trump’s going to have to do it all over again! Mwahahahahahahaha!

Well played, Deep State. Well freaking played.

Probably unrelated, but the DOJ is also looking at some Russian $ going to political meme type douches. Sorry for the unrelated tangent. I should be quiet.

  12. The headline makes no sense. It is spending, not draining, no? If he doesn’t use that money now, when is he supposed to use it?

That said, I hope he and his benefactors lose their shirts.

  13. I always let the YouTube ads play to the end and click the links to his website. It charges them way more per ad if you do those things than if you skip the ads.

  14. We all saw this coming and Reps have no one to blame but themselves. What did they think would happen when Lara Trump was installed as head of their treasury? She said it plainly. All their funds will be used for Drumpf’s reelection campaign. Whomp, whomp.

(On the side, I bet you that a large portion of those funds aren’t just going towards reelection efforts; a bunch of those funds are going to pay down lawyers, and whatever is left will end up in you-know-who’s back pocket. Once the race is over and he’s a failed candidate, there’s not going to be a cushion for his legal concerns.)

    Money went where to where?

    How much he has left?

    Projected fundraising through October?

    Projected expenditures?

    Personal assets?

How much he’s asking from Peter Thiel?

Is this even going to work out? Legal fees?

What if they find him holding Russian dollars between now and Election Day?

    He’s fucked?

  16. Trump still has hundreds of millions in his coffers and all the SuperPAC money donated to him by his billionaire buddies and only a few months to go so he has enough to keep shooting off his mouth.

  17. PerpetualEternal on

“Trump drained cash reserves” and whatever the rest of the sentence is has been a thing since the 80s

This does not include the $10 million Putin paid to social media influencers to spread right wing/russian propaganda.

  19. Why do so many self-proclaimed Conservative Christians admire wealth and people like Trump so much? Jesus said, “it is easier to fit a camel through the eye of a needle than is is for a wealthy person to enter the Kingdom of God.”

He didn’t say anything about any gospel of prosperity, he didn’t say that some deserve wealth more than others, and he definitely didn’t say vote for mean, rich people.

So what’s the deal, Christian Trumpers? Why don’t you care that Jesus thinks wealth is evil?

I’ve asked this question many times over the years and have yet to hear a convincing argument as to how the richest country on the Earth has so many people in it that think Jesus has made rich Americans God’s chosen ones.

They’re spending money in the most stupid ways. Here in Philly, they have digital billboard ads all over the city. They have stupid tag lines like “protecting the children” or “securing our border.”

Two months out and they are burning cash just to keep his name out there.

  21. Trump is betting on billionaires, gerrymandering, and the Supreme Court to pull him through. He wants to win on his own terms. He’s basically holding a gun to the head of the Republican Party and saying “If you don’t fix this for me, you’re done.”

The Republicans have created their own lil’ monster.
