Still no hazardous waste landfill in the country so probably export them to Germany for disposal. Northern Ireland has one.

Just burn them

The UK has a process to turn them into a substance to fix potholes….so probably that.

A silage pit so vast it threatens the island itself.

They used to chop them up for crumb rubber. Bord na mona took over the factory that did this a few years ago and I’m not sure if they still do this.

Turn them into Ho Chi Minh flip flops for when we get the few days of good weather.

Make roads quieter and slightly more grippy by putting them in the Tarmac.

Recycle them and use them for shoe soles.

Aren’t tyres one of the things very easily recycled and repurposed etc? I’ve seen many videos of them being ground down, melted and then reused for more tyres

They can be used for [rammed earth construction](https://endeavourcentre.org/resources-for-building-green/free-encyclopedia-of-sustainable-building-materials/foundations/rammed-earth/#:~:text=Rammed%20earth%20tire%20Systems&text=When%20the%20sides%20are%20filled,staggered%20from%20the%20course%20below.) instead of highly polluting concrete.
Let’s make more race tracks and use them as tyre barriers!
You can build a house from tyres. Concrete poured inside, lime wash outside. It’s basically Lego.
Build an earthship village. 1970s house design that uses tyres on one wall as insulation. Can’t see that happening here though!
