  1. We really need to get a ban or some restrictions on these.

In a time where we are trying to reduce waste letting millions of this battery devices go straight to landfill is infuriating.

Also we have just allowed the tobacco companies to go back to their old tricks. The colourful packaging and massive displays in shops just enticing kids and people to pick up a nicotine addiction. We banned this for cigs ages ago, now we need to ban it for vapes.

  2. “Vapers have been reminded to dispose of their used devices properly, and not throw them down the drain or toilet amid warnings they could explode in the sewers.”

The cretins throwing them into the sewer don’t give a shit about the consequences. Disposable vapes should be banned.

Most of the disposable vapes in that particular photo are non compliant in the UK . Therefore illegal . The authorities can’t control the sale currently . How would a legitimate retail ban help ? Secondly , colourful packaging attracts children ? There may be room for legislation on that but why stop there? There are many things bad for us . How no such outcry about alcohol pops or such as Parma violet vodka which any child can walk down the aisle of in Tesco and view ? . How about the government enforce the law regarding retail sales of age restricted products and maybe so many won’t be discarded irresponsibly.

What’s the surprise about this, this is what 99.9% of smokers are, they don’t give a hoot unless that get that hit afterwards just throw it on the floor,

My father was the same, ended up never driving him anywhere because he would spark up inside even after I said no.

Vapers are the same I’ve yet to be surprised by any of them.

  5. Just tax the fuck out of vaping. At this point the fuckers are smoking anywhere they damn well please. In the workplace, at restaurants, on public transport, in hospital waiting areas etc.

Can’t exactly do a Marlboro Man shoot in those locations (nor should anyone), but the vape shit seems to get a massive pass from everyone.

Most likely the vape second-hand stuff isn’t turning frogs anymore gay than they already are but presumably none of that shit is something anyone else wants to be breathing in.

  6. As usual, in this thread a bunch of fucking puritans who can’t tell the difference between disposable vapes and those of us who use normal vapes, with a mod, tank and atomisers.

Calling for blanket bans on all of this is typical. Can’t understand the nuances = ban it.

Disposable vapes are a blight on the environment. They should NEVER have been allowed to get this much traction. People that vape using reusable equipment should NOT be affected by any kind of ban. That includes on flavour too.

Vaping is a proven method to quit smoking and does NOT create smoke. It creates vapour. Disposable vapes are insanely strong in terms of nicotine – the highest you can get with normal vape juice is 18mg which is very high, but it’s 20gm for disposables. That is insane! It will make you shake vaping that shit long term.

Most people on normal vapes use around 6 to 9mgs of nicotine. I am personally on about 1.5mg.

Don’t lump us in with the kids using disposables.

I’ve got three more bottles of 0mg flavoured juice. The aim over the next few months is to use my nicotine shots to get me beyond 1.5mg down to 0mg. That’s the way it should be done, and these kids buying disposable vapes shaped like milkshake bottles are victims of terrible predatory advertising.

I’ve got no idea how disposable vapes are still legal, vape liquid has come a long way and tank vapes can be just as good as disposables, if not better.

If you’re not willing to compromise on form factor you can get elf bar style vapes with rechargeable batteries and pods of liquid that last just as long as disposable vapes.

There are so many (better) alternatives. The level of waste involved with disposable vapes is fucking absurd.

    Disposable vapes need to go.

People who use a vape to stop themselves smoking, like myself, don’t need to buy disposables. We can buy normal refillable/rechargeable vapes.

Disposable vapes are mainly used by casual/social vapers (who don’t need to be vaping anyway really) or teens.

And I don’t really care about the health effects of vaping, people can make their own choices about their bodies IMO, but the environmental issues around disposables are unacceptable.

Make all vapes tobacco flavoured and only licences sellers.

Anyone caught selling, 1st offence £20k fine and double it every time they’re caught.
