I’m surprised that NASA hasn’t addressed these concerns sooner. Most government agencies already have rules and practices in place governing their cyber security efforts. One reason why new weapon systems take so long to develop is the amount of security and testing that takes place during development. Knowing what hardware you’re procuring and where it’s coming from is just one piece of the puzzle.
