  1. 15 mins. You get in you get out! People got work to do. Love it.

Not 90 mins of crowd size comparisons and movie villain madlibs in between confessions to crimes.

Edit: “But we are going to give you the facts,” Fain added, “and tell you why, as a union, we believe that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are the right people for us to support.”

That’s the thing with people on the fence still. Theres no way you can actually think trump and Vance are good for labor and unions and not be ignoring facts. Thank goodness Harris and Walz are building so much steam, because fence sitters would vote away everyone’s livelihood at this point.

  2. meanwhile trump speaking to elon musk on labor, labor rights, and worker compensation:

    >”You walk in, you say, You want to quit? They go on strike, I won’t mention the name of the company, but they go on strike and you say, That’s OK, you’re all gone. You’re all gone. So, every one of you is gone.”

if trump gets elected he will:

    * **…require worker centers to file financial disclosures with the government.** This could make it harder for worker centers to organize and advocate for workers. [[601]](https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_FULL.pdf#page=634)
    * **…rescind the persuader rule.** This means that employers will be able to hire consultants to discourage workers from forming a union without having to tell the government about it. [[602]](https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_FULL.pdf#page=635)
    * **…let bosses decide if workers are employees or contractors.** This means that bosses could call workers contractors even if they are really employees, which would mean they don’t have to give them benefits like health insurance and paid time off. [[591]](https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_FULL.pdf#page=624)
    * **…make it harder for workers to form unions.** This means that it will be harder for workers to join together to form a union and fight for better pay and working conditions. [[602]](https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_FULL.pdf#page=635)
    * **…allow states to opt out of federal labor laws.** This means that states could pass laws that make it harder for workers to form a union or make unions weaker. [[605]](https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_FULL.pdf#page=638)
    * **…get rid of unions for security workers in the government.** This means that security workers in the government, like TSA agents, will no longer have a union to protect them. [[159]](https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_FULL.pdf#page=192)
    * **…strengthen “management rights” and narrow the scope of issues that are subject to collective bargaining for public sector unions.** This could mean less union influence over working conditions, scheduling, and other workplace matters. [[81]](https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_FULL.pdf#page=114)
    * **…narrow the definition of activities that are protected from employer retaliation under the National Labor Relations Act.** This could make it riskier for workers to engage in union organizing or other collective action. [[601]](https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_FULL.pdf#page=634)
    * **…eliminate the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, which incentivizes a career in public service.** This would reduce the incentive to go into public service, exacerbate student debt burden for public service workers, reduce diversity and representation in public service and lead to a “brain drain” from the public sector. [[332]](https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_FULL.pdf#page=365)

[https://www.25and.me/](https://www.25and.me/) is a resource i found out about today, it’s useful to know where donald trump will stand on specific issues after he’s elected. it provides direct links to locations in the actual project 2025 document, “Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise”.

  3. >Trump said Americans were “suffering during this holiday weekend” because of high gas prices and increased transportation costs and grocery prices.

baby boy is brokeeeee; imagine the Lord of Flies stuck at home, his dwindling pile of cash having less and less buying power, due to the economy he created lmaoooo

  4. oh boy, the right wing really does have nothing when they are attacking Harris for “code switching” during this speech. I don’t even think she is code switching.

Just goes to show you, conservatives don’t understand code switching

  5. Meanwhile Trump on any holiday: “Happy [insert day of reverence] to ALL MY ENEMIES. Even CORRUPT HILLARY DEMS who let ILLEGALS go to SCHOOL with every two year OLD! God BLESS America in the words of the late grate HANNibal Lector.”

  6. Gooner-Astronomer749 on

She needs to stop pandering with that fake accent it’d paternalistic and demeaning. She had this same speech in Wisconsin with no accent. Code switching is only relevant when you do it for survival or it’s necessary to exist in several different subcultures. She doesn’t have that excuse.

  7. Meanwhile Sean O’Brien still can’t figure out which one of these two people is better for unions.
