Is it that surprising? They have only formed a government what a year ago. They have nothing really of value to export and are a net drain on the UK. I wonder if in a referendum the Republican would take them back considering how much a drain they would be.

  2. I’ve been to Poland. Poland’s lovely. This stat says as much about how far Poland has come in the post-communist era as it does about NI/the UK.

On one hand yeah for the UK this probably isn’t the best result let’s remember this is a two way street, as the Poles have really worked hard to get to where they are now. that’s why the UK media love to use ‘poland’ as the terrifying competitor in poverty as opposed to bulgaria or ukraine. I’m just saying as someone with polish parents, i’m there now and it’s not a soviet sh*thole unlike what some brits may think lol

  4. Poland is set to be the next European military superpower, and is the USA’s EU golden boy. I’m very surprised our GDP in NI is as good as theirs to be honest.

Notwithstanding, I can buy a house in a nice area for less than 4x my annual salary and while our GDP may be low, so is our crime, I don’t know anyone who has ever been robbed and I can walk home drunk from a night out knowing I won’t be attacked.

Don’t feel too sorry for us. We good.
