The TNLA is part of the Chinese-supported Three Brotherhood Alliance (which includes the MNDAA and Arakan Army).
However, some Chinese [agencies ](https://www.irrawaddy.com/news/myanmar-china-watch/china-faces-fierce-online-backlash-in-myanmar-after-threat-against-ethnic-army.html)are getting pissed off at the TNLA and are [threatening ](https://www.rfa.org/english/news/myanmar/china-tnla-letter-stop-fighting-08302024075230.html)”consequences” if they do not “stop [fighting] immediately in order to maintain stability and peace on the China-Myanmar border and protect the lives of Chinese citizens.”
There is speculation that this is due to the TNLA planning to attack Muse, which is near the Chinese city of Ruili, Yunnan Province (something about an impending refugee crisis). PLA is launching [live-fire exercises ](https://www.irrawaddy.com/news/myanmar-china-watch/chinas-pla-launches-live-fire-drills-as-fighting-rages-in-myanmar-borderlands.html)as well .
Either way, the TNLA made it clear that they will not stop until Min Aung Hlaing’s junta is destroyed for good.
