  1. ‘Lucy Connolly, 41, who is married to West Northamptonshire councillor Raymond Connolly, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday, where she admitted the charge.’

  2. >Judge Lucking told Connolly: “Sentencing will entirely be a matter for the judge on the next occasion but it’s likely to be a substantial custodial sentence”

    She deserves nothing less.

  3. ‘substantial custodial sentence’ for saying you wouldn’t care if a hotel full of migrants burned down.

    And people will cheer this.

Criminal charges for anything other than a direct call for violence is worrying. This is the kind of thing people should be losing jobs over, not going to jail.

No idea why she’d plead guilty other than to save her husbands job or she can’t afford a lawyer.

  4. Absolute cunt.

“Mrs Connolly later apologised for her comments, which she said she subsequently realised had been based on “false and malicious” information.”

Right, so even if it was a muslim asylum seeker, this would all have been fine? No remorse, up the sentence.

“”I am someone who cares enormously about children,”

Unless they’re migrants, in which case burn in hell.

    What a fucking cunt.

“If wanting to burn large numbers of refugees and asylum seekers alive makes me racist, then so be it!”

A towering intellect. Truly, the best of British.

All I said was that piece of halibut is good enough of Jehovah. Where are we going with this? If words can be used as a reason people commit crime then surely words can be used as an excuse when people commit crimes? Where is this imaginary line?

ITV bias? They’re going with the headline “Northamptonshire childminder admits stirring up racial hatred against asylum seekers”. Draws no attention to the fact she’s facing criminal charges or that she’s married to a politician.

Whereas the BBC have gone with “Wife of Tory councillor pleads guilty after calling for attacks on asylum seekers”.

Now, both headlines are factually correct. However given the obligations associated with being in public office, and the closeness of (at least typical) relationships between husband and wife, the fact that she’s married to a Tory politician seems pertinent, especially when recent Tory party policy has been extremely hostile towards asylum seekers (stopping short of calls for violence, **obviously**). But one has to wonder what opinions they share on the matter when in private.

  9. Her chances of getting a job as a childminder with a conviction for inciting violence?

She should take every opportunity to acquire new skills whilst inside, some kind of beauty therapist? There seem to be a lot of crazies working in that industry.

  10. Should the police look at the racial and religious background of victim and perpetrator and then make a “calculation ” on a course of  action that promotes “multicultural harmony”.  Starmer assures us there is no 2 tier policing, off course I believe him he is a politician after all. He is the  most honest man I have seen on TV.

Is she going to prison then, as we don’t want 2 tier policing and letting a rich white woman with political connections have a smaller sentence than the poor white man who is from the same town did the exact same thing but got sentenced and sent to prison immediately

I wonder what happened to all the people marching up and down outside the Conservative conference in Manchester with Tory Scum posters, and depictions of people in suits and bowler hats being hanged.

Perhaps we should go back and see if face recognition works on that footage.

These days, THESE DAYS, if you threaten to burn a hotel with people trapped inside, they throw you in jail.
