> After criticism that Reform UK’s election contract with the people was ‘Liz Truss on steroids’, new Reform UK chairman has admitted that the party is working on a new set of policies as well as drawing up rules enabling the party’s leader to be sacked

>But speaking to The Independent, Mr Yusuf said that the contract with the people should now be considered “more as the philosophy of what the party wants to achieve rather than policy details.”
>On the sums in the election contract with the people, Mr Yusuf said: “They don’t add up on the basis that you implement everything in there on day one for arriving in Downing Street. That’s fair. But that was never going to be the plan.”
Oh look! Looks like Reform is just a bunch of grifters capitalising on the unpopularity of Tories! No one, I swear no one, could’ve seen this coming!

No shit? Really?
I thought Grifter McLeather face was a man to be trusted.

I mean, most parties drop their manifesto pledges the second they win/lose an election…so I can’t say I’m shocked that reform did the same.
And they wonder why no one trusts politicians

What’s the issue the contract was for if they ever won the election they’re not gonna get their policies in when they only have 5 mps

Hardly surprising, the man’s a crook, a grifter, a carpet bagger who hoodwinked an entire generation into voting against their, and their children’s best interests.
I know we are all cynical and all politicians are the same but this man is the epitome of a goldbricking charlatan, a flim-flam man, a huckster. I’d call him a pimp or crimper, but that would be an insult to hard working pimps.
That so many of my fellow generation fell to this con man is testament to the fact that “there’s no fool like an old fool”.
I don’t know how to stop the grifting but time was us olds used to pride our selves on not being conned

The election is over and they have only 5 MPs. What do you expect?

Where are all the people that were preaching about the “costed manifesto” now?

You’d have to be a lemon to vote for that mug anyway

The funniest thing about people like Farage and Johnson are they’re voters always complain about politicians “they are all the same” etc, then vote for the worst examples of them.
Lie to me harder daddy.
Admin. hopefully this doesn’t count as harassment of the far right.

I hate Farage as much as the next person. However every other party that didn’t win has dropped their manifesto. The tories were gonna ban smoking for everyone under 18 in perpetuity, but now are upset Labour might ban it in pub gardens

Wait… Nigel Farage and his band of morons are a bunch of liars?? No way!!
This must be one of those “woke, fake news” things.
