  1. **From Rolling Stone’s Peter Wade:**

Donald Trump praised Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, but some Republicans have deep concerns about Orbán’s influence over the former president.

“Viktor Orbán… I mean he’s strong. They consider him strong. It’s a good thing, not a bad thing. Runs a strong country,” Trump said in a Fox News interview that aired Saturday night.

Concerned? Yeah, right. In 2022, CPAC was held outside of the US in Hungary and, later that year, Orban was a guest speaker at the second CPAC in Texas. They love Orban.

    >“Viktor Orbán… I mean he’s strong. They consider him strong. It’s a good thing, not a bad thing. Runs a strong country,” Trump said in a Fox News interview that aired Saturday night.

    Compare that to this:

“He’s the head of a country and I mean he is the strong head,” Trump said to Fox in 2018. “Don’t let anyone think anything different. He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same.”

  3. Bull s4it ! He’s praised Putin, Kim even saluted a North Korean general!, praised the murderous Saudi prince, said Hilter was a genius but what is that I hear from the GOP yes there nothing! except praise and ars kissing. They are just as bad as he is for enabling and abiding him

  4. It’s just an extension of his putin relationship. Putin would be their main concern if so many GOP weren’t embracing putin.

  5. EU made a mistake requiring unanimous vote to eject a member. Hungary should have been jettisoned a long time ago.

  6. Conservatives have been embracing Orban for years, hosting him twice at CPAC, and tucker carlson spent a week in Hungary fellating the dictator.

Earlier this year, Orban visited trump at Mar a Lago twice in just four months. From the article, we have some idea as to what those meetings were about:

    >Orbán has boasted about his influence on Trump, saying [in a speech last month](https://miniszterelnok.hu/en/speech-by-prime-minister-viktor-orban-at-the-33rd-balvanyos-summer-free-university-and-student-camp/) that Hungary has “deep involvement” in the “programme-writing system of President Donald Trump’s team.”

Conservatives, and their ultimate boss, Putin, want to model a US dictatorship after Hungary’s.

  7. Trump has been sucking dicktators his whole life. For someone who hates America so much, I honestly don’t know why he chooses to live here.

  8. “Woah, what’s with all these leopards eating my face?!” ~ Republicans, 2016, 2018, 2020, 2022, 2024.

Are they *really*? Or do they make noise, pretending to be worried so the dump stank will not taint them.

  10. I highly, highly doubt Republicans “are concerned” considering they had a CPAC convention while rubbing elbows with the guy. They LIKE Orban. They got pointers from him. Project 2025 was hatched there.

  11. nobodyisfreakinghome on

No, republicans are not concerned. They want to win at all costs so they won’t do any except vote this sleezy bastich into office.

  12. Oh give me a break. Republicans have protected and defended the man through thick and thin and have the nerve NOW to say they are “nervous “? Not a chance. They deserve to be tethered to the evil, vile human being they have stood by all these years knowing the whole time exactly who he is. Media suck.

It’s wild because Republican politicians know that Donald Trump is bad for the Republican party.

But it’s the base of the portables that keep bringing him back. He didn’t even have to debate. And they still fell head over heels for him.

For some reason, voice to text put in portables instead of Deplorables and I’m OK with it

  14. Well fuck you Republicans. You allowed this monstrosity to happen. If that party had any decency at all left they would have buried trump into the history books where he belongs.

  15. If Trump had his way he’d be a dictator too.

It may very well happen if he’s elected. This is why it’s critical he cannot win.

We need an America where convicted felons arent allowed to be president period
The Republicans are 100% to blame for the convicted felon insurrectionist God will punish him and his boot lickers the time is approaching

  17. No-Obligation1709 on

Sure sure. I’ll bet those republicans are super concerned. Concerned enough to forget about this in 10 minutes and still vote for him 70,000,000 strong

  18. How? How is this a close election? If Kamala said or did ANY of the shit Trumps says or does, her campaign would be over.

I doubt they’re concerned enough to do anything about it. This is just another media soft pat on the back for those followers of the orange goblin.
