  1. Next they’ll be banning pissing in the bushes on the way back from the Pub. This is broken Britain honestly.

To be honest, I’ve wondered for ages how they can operate with people smoking indoors. Can anyone explain how the law doesn’t apply to them?

  3. I find it odd the backlash this proposed policy is getting. Tories were planning to make smoking illegal to anyone born after 2009 at one point and that didnt seem to get half the backlash

  4. Fuck I didn’t even think of this. I used to love shisha when I was at uni, haven’t had it in a long time but would love to go to one of these again (altho idk if there are any in Lancashire fml)

  5. Man I tried a shisha bar/cafe once and it triggered my asthmatic symptoms so bad. I don’t know if it was just that particular place but I’ve never been back since.

  6. The solution is to allow businesses to buy an outdoor smoking licence. If cafes or pubs think they’ll make more money with the licence then get one and if they don’t think it’ll affect business don’t bother.

  7. It’s not smoking but vaping that’s the problem, idk why this is in the immediate agenda.

The thing that surprises me is why haven’t these places all been closed down already?

The idea for all these legislative controls that have been introduced over DECADES is to reduce the harm of smoking on society.

But smoking a fat ass water pipe billowing out huge clouds of smoke right outside the door of kebab shop is….ok?

  9. Ah, good idea, you might be able to force them to backtrack if you can make them fear being called racist or discriminatory against other cultures or something. It’s about the only thing that fucking works. Unfortunately it’s not a recourse most of us have access to.

It will result in all the police who are not on line checking for speech crime walking around pubs accusing people of smoking

  11. On Whimmy Rd in Manchester I’m pretty sure there’s already been some form of a fan/crackdown on this as it isn’t as visible as it once was. Most of the better lounges are indoors anyway from experience
