Donald Trump complained that he spent millions to beat Joe Biden before the president withdrew from the 2024 election cycle, asking a crowd, “How would you like to be me?”

During his rally in Potterville, Michigan, on Thursday, the former president spoke about the economy and inflation, as well as talking about the money he spent competing with Biden.

Maybe you should’ve made ads about your policy rather than just attacking the opponent

Prepare to hear this ad nauseam until the day the man dies. He’s going to lose the ‘24 election, claim it was rigged because of the “bait and switch” of Biden to Harris, and never, ever recover from it. Mind as well put it on his tombstone.

I have no doubt that this was part of the internal conversations to have Biden drop out, but it’s working overtime on being in Trump’s head.

    >”I spent $100 million on fighting him, we weren’t fighting anyone else, we weren’t fighting a vice president, **we didn’t even know who the hell she was**, and then all of a sudden, they say ‘Joe you’re losing badly you got to get out.'”

It’s kinda funny how Harris is simultaneously someone ‘we didn’t know who she was’ but also the mastermind behind Russia invading Ukraine, Israel attacking Palestine, and global inflation.

She’s quite the nobody to also be personally responsible for the most notable global issues of the last 4 years, according to the right wing media machine.

  5. Spent that BEFORE Biden was the official candidate.
He should have made ads that promoted his platform and policies rather than making all his ads solely about another person.
Too bad any money he gets now will be used to settle his legal bills and settlement payments.
    You hate to see it.

They constantly whined about Biden needing to drop out due to age and mental decline. He did and now they wasted all the money because they didn’t really mean it? Are there any adults around to run this campaign?

Spent $100m to say “BiDeNs oLD” and now he’s the oldest in US history lmao

Still? It’s indicative of how rigid he is that he can’t adjust to changing circumstances. Along with all his many *many* other deficiencies, that doesn’t seem to be a good quality for a president.

  9. Maybe having a campaign that is solely based on attacking your opponent, instead of promoting your own platform, is a bad idea.

    Whomp whomp.

Fuck him, but also I hope this changes how we campaign in America. Ain’t no one wants to listen to these assholes glaze themselves for a year+, and hopefully the fear of losing a ton of money by smearing the wrong person curbs it a little bit.

  11. It was early in the cycle, if he had spent that money in the way most do, by building himself up and getting your ground team set up, he would actually have been fine as that money would have still been useful.

Instead he wasted it on attacks and then instead of trying to tie Harris into those attacks after he decided to do things like question how black she is. Man is just way too stupid to run anything well.

Maybe you should’ve been running *for* President, instead of *against* your opponent?

  13. ye_olde_green_eyes on

It worked. He beat Biden who’s no longer a candidate. Now he has to face someone else. The monkey’s paw curls and all that.

  14. The problem is that he campaigns against people instead of for plans and policies. If he has done the latter, nothing had been lost. This is what campaigning on negativity gets you 🤣

    News headline 14,138:

    TRUMPS COMPLAINS ……
    TRUMP SAY UNFAIR ……
    TRUMP IS THE VICTIM …..

This is 100% weird shit narcissism!!

  16. So he wasn’t running for president. Trump was just running to beat the guy who is friends with the Black guy who made fun of Trump.

    Weird.

  17. He got his money’s worth. He did it. He beat Biden. It was the best thing he could have done for Democrats.

  18. wutthefvckjushapen on

And since trump is so poor this was all probably the money from fools that donated to him lmao.

Makes me laugh thinking about all the Fuck Joe Biden merchandise these idiots bought into.

  20. I implore every commenter here. Please find you someone who will miss you if you have to go away like Trump misses Biden.

Congratulations Donald! You beat Joe Biden. So badly he didn’t make it to the convention. You won so bigly, now you can drop out.

To quote an asshole in the 2016 debate, who said, of paying no federal income tax for several years, “That makes me smart,” well, that makes the Democrats smart.

Trump announced he was running earlier than any other candidate in history as a means to avoid prosecution and have an attack line when his indictment was coming. He also wanted to try and discourage others from running.

So, if he spent $100 million it’s because he’s a bafoon that thought he could avoid accountability hiding behind a campaign. Sucks to suck.
