  1. “And they made that perfectly clear to us. But what’s the headline if there’s a catastrophic failure? It’s not ‘Boeing killed two astronauts,’ it’s ‘NASA killed two astronauts.’ So no, it’s better safe than sorry.”

Execs at the aerospace giant also made their displeasure clear to top-level employees in an internal email last week that the company shared with The Post.

“I know this is not the decision we had hoped for, but we stand ready to carry out the actions necessary to support NASA’s decision,” Mark Nappi, the head of Boeing’s Commercial Crew Program, wrote to employees.

“The focus remains first and foremost on ensuring the safety of the crew and spacecraft. I have the utmost confidence in this team to prepare Starliner for a safe and successful uncrewed return with the same level of professionalism and determination as you did the first half of the mission.”

According to Boeing employees, the hope is that the Starliner will return safely to Earth, giving the company the leeway to claim that NASA was being overcautious.

They pushed for the launch of that piece of shit because they were under financial pressure. Get these clown out of the decision making loop.

We all knew NASA was being forced to stay quiet and do nothing to avoid hurting Boeing’s stock. And we all know that absolutely nothing will be done about it. The corporate shareholders are calling all the shots and all the scientists and engineers need to simply shut up and let the suits lie and make their money.

  4. Why the heck did they send the two astronauts in the first place? Why can’t they just do another test launch because of the existing issues?

  5. I wouldn’t want to go back to Earth on that thing. I feel sorry for everyone on the ISS. It was awkward spending a week on a friend’s couch. Now those two are just loafing around in space for months.

  6. It could have been so easy,
    Astronauts take the starliner and
Boeing does not need a hitman
for the two people who could say something bad about boeing.

But no, now people at boeing need to plan two suicide’s

  7. “The two astronauts went up to the ISS in June for what was supposed to be an eight-day voyage and found themselves stranded when they discovered that helium leaks on Boeing’s Starliner — which they had known about prior to launch — were more numerous than previously thought.

Worse, the leaks were causing the thrusters to malfunction.”

Um, isn’t this blatantly false? The helium leaks didn’t cause the thruster issues, and the helium leaks weren’t the reason they were staying at ISS.
