And no doubt they’ll piss it all away on NGOs, committees and quangos without a single tangible benefit to the Irish people.
Sooner just give every one of us €2,500 cash.

We wouldn’t be entitled to the money either way. People think all the money would be given to the Irish government. Instead it would be refunded amongst the European countries who were affected

I’ve reached the conclusion that Irish people hoping that Ireland lose this case are either contrarians or uninformed. And I’m leaning towards it being the former, since they’ve had the guts of a decade to get informed.

Don’t know how people still don’t know that the Irish won’t get the money, it’ll mostly go to Europe.
This case is essentially about whether we’re allowed to set our own tax policy or not.

I’ve a feeling that the EU will win and it will be a cascading effects on all our biggest companies here that make up a huge of amount of workforce. This is also one of the reason loads of FF and FG old school politicians are bailing bar the fact they won’t get elected . But sure I’m after 7 pints so who knows lol

Judging by the photo, it is a relatively small amount they owe, but I won’t be satisfied til we get that €5.20. It’s the principle!
