On 29 August, the Japan Ground Self-Defence Force (JGSDF) announced that a man in his 20s, a third rank sergeant in the 7th Regular Regiment (Fukuchiyama City, Kyoto Prefecture), who was undergoing training to become a Ranger member, complained of ill health and died in the hospital where he was admitted.The cause of death was acute heart failure.An accident investigation committee has been set up in the 3rd Division (Itami City, Hyogo Prefecture), a senior unit, to investigate the detailed circumstances.
     

    According to the Ground Self-Defence Force (GSDF), the 14 men, including the man, began training on 19 August and complained of feeling unwell after training to reach a destination outside the garrison using a map and compass on 21 August.
     

    On 22nd, they rested inside the garrison but did not recover, and on 23rd, they visited a hospital because of dizziness, nausea, numbness in their arms and legs and fatigue.He was diagnosed with acute renal failure and was hospitalised.

    Rhabdomyolysis, unfortunately it happens in specialized military training. The problem is these volunteers often push themselves to the limit because they dont want to quit. Rip
