Sinn Fein haven’t banned anything. What they did is refuse to overrule the Unionist Health ministers decision to extended the Labour Government’s ban to Northern Ireland.
The unfortunate truth regarding power sharing is that you sometimes have to share power.
Now, there are studies being carried out. It is expected that the result of these will show that puberty blockers provide benefits to transgender children that outweigh the negatives. When this happens Sinn Fein will push for the reintroduction while the DUP will still be against them.
