What the fuck is going on with the Russian army, do they not have medical facilities? It honestly just makes me appreciate what makes the US military so powerful, that soldier would be medivac’d out asap, stabilized in a field hospital and if necessary would be on a plane to some of the finest medical facilities in the world in a US base in Germany hours after that. In the Russian army it seems they have tourniquets to stop the blood flow and repurposed menstrual products to plug the bullet wound, and if you need anything more than that well there’s always death.

  3. I mean.. at least he didn’t want his squad mate suffering? The lack of hesitation makes me wonder if this isn’t his first

I’ve read accounts of soldiers checking first to see if their genitals were still intact after being hit with munitions and if they weren’t, often asking a fellow soldier to shoot them. I wonder if that’s what we saw here.

  5. That is brutal. Surprised he asked for it. From the video it didn’t look horrible – legs weren’t completely blown off.

  6. Some poor woman carried him for 9ish months in her body. Nursed him. Reared him. Taught him lessons. All for Vladmir Putin to send him on a vanity project and die for no reason.

  7. Everyone acting like they aren’t in the kill zone and can somehow help him without risking an almost definite death.

  8. Stuff like this makes me wonder.. do they even do casevac?

You’d think they would at least see if help could arrive in time

Didn’t even hesitate, hardly broke his stride.

Russia must be such an inhuman place

I worked an accident scene once. One guy was begging us, over and over to kill him, he just couldn’t take the pain.

EMS called the Doc (no, not for permission to kill the guy) to see what pain medication could be given before the man was transported 35 miles by ambulance to a hospital with his injuries bouncing and banging all the way there.

No sedatives were given because surgery would be needed as soon as they arrived.

This process took at least 20 minutes as the man writhed in pain and begged. And, he had at least some hope of being helped by a doc.

In the middle of field, at war… I can see why the ‘cde’ didn’t hesitate.

Looks like he got his junk blown off and is asking for a mercy killing. He checks his groin area and then immediately starts tapping his own head.

They must have discussed this sitting around a roasted rat in some pit in the earth. Probably an agreement among everyone in the crew that if someone was too messed up to survive, they would coup de Gras one another.

  13. If American troops did this the backlash would be so bad that it could probably end the war

    That is fucking gut wrenching

(Also in a conflict like Ukraine why the hell are you using pathways that will clearly be mined)
